.....over the winter with the clothes, dishes, towels, blankets, etc. in it? Or do you take everything out because of pests, mice, etc.

We did take all the food stuff out and anything that would freeze over the winter.

I also left all the cabinet doors and drawers open too to allow for circulation. We have dry winters here in MI, the air is dry that is, should we also put a tub of damp rid in the TT or is that just for people down south that have lots of moisture in the air over winter?

Thanks
Brian

I've always left that type of stuff in the TT over the winter.  In fact, sine I leave mine in the driveway, I use it as storage for some other stuff like patio tables and kids toys that don't "go in the snow".  We remove the food and any batteries, but everything else stays in it year-round.  I put the pink stuff in the lines, close all of the windows and vents, nothing else.  Been doing it that way for 17 winters prior to this and never had any problems.

csham,

When you say you remove the bateries, do you mean the aux. battery that powers the trailer?

The only thing we've ever taken out of a trailer are the perishable items, or anything that can be harmed by freezing.  And, it appears, we'll never change that.  We recently emptied our old 5er out to trade in one the new one.  We put everything in totes and boxes and set them in the basement until we outfit the new one.  Jeeze Louise we had a LOT of stuff in there!  Looks like one of the kids are moving back in!!

I remove the aux batteries and store them in the garage.  I also remove all of the flashlight batteries.  I hate the thought that they may break and leak while being exposed to the cold.
