,I was wondering what to use that is safe to clean pine tree sap off the side of my slideout?

I used Denatured Alcohol on the windows where it had gotten sap on it and it came right off without even rubbing very hard.

Would the Denatured Alcohol be ok to use on the side of the slideout and the side of the trailer?

I know people use rubbing alcohol on their car finishes to get sap of the clear coat.

Thanks
Brian

Try hot soapy water. I've used that on vehicles to remove tree sap and it has worked well unless the sap has been on there long enough to harden. If the sap has hardened I don't know what to suggest.

Yes it is on there and is hardened. I did try in a small spot denatured alcohol and figured Id wait and hour and see if anything happens to it. So far it looks ok thoug and removed the sap like it was just a spec of dirt, it was fast and easy.
I'd just hate to do the whole side of the slideout and have it delaminate on me the next day! :(

I used some stuff from Ace hardware called Desolve. It worked good. The sap was hard and I soaked the spots by holding a soaked rag on the spot.It took about a mintue to start working.

Thanks for all the tips guys,

What I used was the denatured alcohol. It worked almost immediately on the sap and wiped off all the sap almost like it wasnt even there. I washed and waxed it after I got done with it and it didnt seem to do anything to the finish at all.
